usually it's a case of entering your monitors settings and doing an autodetect - if the monitor is the problem.
If not then your card isn't immediatly supported and you'll have to put your old card back in and get back onto Windows or Linux and install the drivers for your new card and then switch over to the new card.
Do you know which website sells various cheap computer accessories ?
