Repose. Italians take a break in the middle of the work day from 11 AM to 1 PM (sometimes more sometimes less, depending on how they feel). While this may sound endearing to those of you who don't live in Italy, it sucks for those of us who do (at least people with American mentalities). You can't get gas for 3 hours during the day, or go to the post office, or mow your yard (its considered illegal noise during these hours). It really sucks if you work nights like me and need to accomplish things during the day.

Delicious pasta dishes, Chianti wine, Rome, Venice, warmth, close family, loudness/gregariousness, openness - and, OK, some amount of courseness! Overall, though - the main word I should use is PASSION. I am 1/2 Sicilian, and proud to say it!
