I recently had a hair folic test and it came back positive. I haven't used any drugs in 6 months but am on prescibed medication Advair, Albuterol, Seroquel, Doxepin, Abilify. Can these drugs show up as positive in a hair folic test?

Bummer - the hair ball test can tell if you have ever done drugs. Unlike the urine test, 6 months aint gonna cut it. Sorry about yer luck.

With the hair folic test they can trace marijuanna as far as 6 years in your life. But i have heard of herbal shampoo for those tests that are supposed to cover up the traceable chemicals in your hair.

A hair test can detect drugs taken years prior, depending on how long your hair is, so it may well be illegal drugs showing up rather than any prescribed medication. I don't know if they show up.

The drugs that you are taking will not show positive for cocaine! How do you like taking SINEQUAN® (doxepin HCl)I was prescribed that some years ago, I took it once and lost a day almost being in a comatose condition it was like I blinked my eyes in the morning and lost the whole day somewhere! There are a lot better/newer drugs for your condition then that old one!
