Do you think that because of Kanye West's actions at this years (2009) VMA awards, he should be banned from all music awards shows for the next five to ten years?

• Well I guess it did add a certain level of entertainment to the show, but it was so sad seeing the look of hurt on that poor little girls face. Plus by allowing him to go to those shows, it gives him the chance to do that again. Just as Marilyn Manson has proven, there is no such thing as bad publicity. Most people that are aware of the Kanye West incident aren't even aware of the girls name (myself included) he took away that girls moment to shine and she can never get that back. Thanks for the +5. • I disagree about him not hurting someone. That poor little girl recieved an award that she may never be able to achieve agian and he stole that moment from her and basically insulted by saying that Beyonce should've won instead of her. If he felt that way there is a better time and place. If he wants to sleep with Beyonce that bad, slip her some roofies or something. Apparently this isn't the first time he's done something like this, so security obviously isn't the answer for him. Maybe he should just be strapped to a chair and given a bed pan.

• Taylor swift could go anywhere and find someone that doesn't like her, well, anyone can. She's not a poor little girl, she's an adult and I'm sure she's recovered already. We've all been called all types of horrible things, but that's the drawback of the freedom of speech. Anyone who would be actually traumatized and devastated as an adult by a verbal insult just needs to grow up and realize life isn't all happy comments and praise lol.

• You have a valid point, but being insulted is one thing, even being insulted in front of the entire media world is even bad enough, but having one of your greatest achievements defiled and defecated on, takes hatefulness to the next level. He took her moment to shine and that can never be given back to her. She may never win that award again and even if she does maybe Kanye will decide to take that away from her again.

• Well I think he should be banned because:
  1. This wasn't his first time disrupting an event
  2. He took that poor girls time to shine and made a mockery of it.
  
  Whether he was right or wrong that's not how the judges saw it. Even Beyonce knew what he did was wrong. That's why when she (Beyonce) won an award she let Taylor Swift up on the stage to "rehave" her moment.
  
  Taylor Swift may never get another chance to get another award and even if she does she earned that chance to shine and Kayne West took it from her.
