That is something you should take up with a priest - perhaps another priest. At least the 'spiritual' aspect of this. Psychologically this falls well within nominal parameters of human experience. Having crushes, even falling deeply in love with the unattainable (for instance a man of the cloth) is 'normal'. Respecting his vows and dealing with the 'problem' of your feelings by one's self is also 'normal'. This means yes even skipping the fine details of this sin while in confession with the man in question. Your very best bet is to talk to the priest as you would talk to a man. outside of the Confessional, perhaps even outside of the Church structure itself - a neutral yet public place, like a park, a coffee shop, etc. Tell him your feelings, letting him know and having him tell you "As you know priests can not marry" has a far deeper emotional impact than 'knowing' this information or having a third party tell you the exact same thing. Honesty is the best policy, while you do not need to go into details, you can explain that you do have 'thoughts' about him. Together you most likely can address the issue both psychologically and spiritually.

If you're over 12 you're too old for him.

If you're a young boy, *don't ask him*! ;-)

avoid him or move to another parish, if it is true you really do not want to sin. also, you might want to take up reading the bible and actually studying it. this will enable or rather empower you to confront the temptation you are facing. without God's help you are helpless! for more information go to www.watchtower.org
