With China expanding their global interests in Iran would it not be better to deal with Chinese/Iranian interests than to rattle sabres with Iran?

One fly in the ointment- China owns a major hold on the American National Debt. Which means all China has to do to get us to leave the Chinese interests alone in Iran, is to 'suggest' that it be time for us to start paying off our Bonds to them. Thanks Republicans. For spending money like a bunch of drunken Democrats.

Yes, however I think that the US foreign policy is still stuck in the 1940's. seems that nobody can look past US interest for more than 4 years at a time. and they still have the "colonialist" view of other nations. your question reminds me so much of the movie "Syriana".
