Secession talk from Texas has resulted in something interesting, the rest of the country has told the governors office that they'd be happy to see them go. Any thoughts? Please see the reference link below from Dallas.

It is possible that they might one day seceed from the US.It was written into the state's constitution that they can leave the union,and is why it is called the lone star state .What their plan might be would be unclear.They would probably need to claim to be a country of their own,print their own money,etc. Many countries successfully separated from their mother country(the USSR) when communism fell.They are countries like Georgia,and other countries from the communist bloc,so anything is possible with Texas. Also a province in Canada,Quebec has voted on seceeding from the rest of Canada,and the vote was very close to the decision to separate.

Let them go. They never have really made up their minds for sure if they want to be part of Mexico, On their own or part of the U.S.

They a perennially poor state that refuses to invest in itself and looks to Washington for handouts. They're the second largest drain on Federal tax dollars, getting far more from Washington than they put in. Good riddance.
