The Marine Corps recently announced it will no longer accept sex offenders. Does it bother anyone that sex offenders were ever allowed to enlist in the Marine Corps?

Why shouldn't they be? They will be around nothing but adults, all the time. If they try any stupid sexual crime, they will have hell to pay from the military. And if they die in combat, they'll never hurt anyone again. Morally, you may find it repugnant. But pragmatically, I think that is a very good place for them, to be away from regular society and under constant surveillance.

Yes, if it was a child molester type of sex offender, which I can't believe they'd allow in anyway. But if it was an 18-year-old guy with his 16-year-old girlfriend, not so bad.
