Do you really think $500 billion can be cut from Medicare without cutting the benefits to older Americans?

    Maybe.

    Remember, Medicare currently pays out about $400 billion PER YEAR, and that number is projected to go up in future years.

    Over 10 years, that's between $4 trillion and $5 trillion.

    It seems reasonable that there might be 10% - 12% cost savings that can be achieved through better utilization.
