Can i change my doctor while im pregnant? i dont feel like they care at all about my pregnancy, ive had so many pains and complications not to mention bleeding and they dont seem to care or anything, how can i change my doctor?

The 1st thing I'd do is contact the office manager & tell them that you are very interested in switching doctors b/c you're not happy w/ the level of care you are receiving. If after you talk to them you still want to switch, contact your in-network hospital & ask them for a list of OB's.

Good luck! I am very proud of you for not settling. This time is far too important to be uncomfortable w/ your doctor.

If you are not comfortable with your dr. ask your friends about other ob/gyns. That is your best source of information on them. Also, have you made your dr. office aware that you are feeling neglected and that you are having apprehensions about coming to them?

- i have but they dont seem to care much....ive been asking for another ultrasound or something to see if everything is ok and they wont give me one and ive had a horrible abnormal bad pain n my left side for weeks now...and havent felt baby hardly at all

- If you would like, I will pray for you and your baby. If I were you, I would seek out a different Dr. There may be some issues with a new Dr. but I am certain that the old Dr. would send your new one your file with tests, etc.

- Please do find another doctor. I started bleeding at 8 weeks, my doctors didn't seem as concerned as I was. Although they did do an ultrasound. Everything seemed fine. Two weeks later I lost my baby. This was three months ago and I am still hurting emotionally from this. Sometimes I wish I would have found another doctor, one who had time to spend with me. Not one that just wanted to tell me everything was fine and then push me out the door...

I'm not in the medical field, but I would think that if you fould a doctor you liked better (maybe by asking friends or relatives) you can tell this story to your doctor and the new doctor should be able to have all the medical records and information transfered to them.
