Aren't 'Bratz' dolls basically teaching girls at a young age to become shallow mindless sluts?

I think that Bratz dolls look like stripper's, not that there's anything wrong with strippers (if you're an adult woman). But honestly, is that what we want our kids to identify women with?

Basically thats what they portray, but any little girl that wants to be exactly like a doll is just going to copy someone else later on. like, if they skip the bratz, what's waiting? pari hilton.

I think so. They look like little hookers to me. When I was in high school the big stink was that Barbie didn't represent real life girls or a varied enough cultures. So the powers that be in toy making have decided to solve the problem by making dolls that make girls from other cultures look like hookers.

Well, let's start with the name of the line of dolls- BRATZ. What does that imply? If you look at the commercials, they seem to act kinda like brats to me. (maybe it's just me) I don't want my child to grow up to be a snobby little brat...

Honestly, I haven't seen anything slutty about them besides their clothes (although I don't own one and haven't thoroughly examined it), but pretending to be, or acting like a Bratz doll would not be a good sign and would indicate that it's time for you to teach your child the way they should behave. If they pick that up from dolls or commercials that means you've been slacking and you're letting other things such as television, toys, other peers or adults, ect. teach your child the way she should live. Seeing some of the commercials, I understand why some children may want to act differently upon seeing them, because the advertisers portray the dolls to be "cool", appealing. Of course they would- they want to sell dolls, right? So when a child looks at that, they get the feeling that they too want to be like the dolls.

I personally never had any interest in dolls of any kind- even seeing commercials, I thought it was corny.

They definately are teaching young girls that is ok and cool to be slutty.
When I have children, they will never have one.
