• I am 23 and I have a soon-to-be-ex husband.... So I would say it isn't out of the question, Nevets. My ex was Christian and his mother was a witch... weird family, but after she died, he harped on my bieng Pagan. I know the religion in relationships thing can be a problem.... However I think that's a lot different from the race debate. I think that you you love someone, no matter who, you should marry them. Anyone who wants to date interracially should do so. I cannot see doing this myself, I have never even met a different raced person I would date. It's not right for me. I cannot imagine telling anyone else it isn't right for them though. Just because I'm only attracted to white men and white women, doesn't mean it's wrong for someone else to be attracted to someone outside their race.

• First off, we did not all "evolve" from African origin, maybe you did, but I didn't. Secondly, racial intermixing is not natural. Culture is what we humans are meant to thrive in and pass on generation to generation. By interbreeding, cultures become lost. Should a St. Bernard interbreed with a Chihauha? No, for one the genetics would leave the animal helpless in the winter time AND the summer time, considering the genes balanced out evenly, which they won't and the animal would not be able to properly relate to its parents or it climate/ecosystem. If every one in the world was the same, and had no unique culture and heritage, then the only purpose in their life would be the same as an animal, to eat, sleep, crap, and procreate. Humans have the knowledge to carry traditions and culture. Laws are not a substitute for culture, and if this was a cultureless existence, there would be no laws to protect you, since lack of respect for culture would be lost.

The fact that even you could produce viable offspring, assuming that you are not genetically dead, with an Aborigine from Australia demonstrates this FACT. We are the only animal species that has managed to migrate over the entire planet without speciating. The way that speciation is prevented is by gene flow. Gene flow occurs through interbreeding. Culture and genetics are not related and in actual fact have nothing to do with each other. Your little anecdote about dogs is stupid and without any foundation and it is vey obvious that you have absolutely no comprehension of how genes function and most probably even what they do. Just so you know culture is not a unique human trait either. Chimpanzees, to cite one example, have culture. Culture is in no way related to a persons genetic makeup. You reveal your ignorance brilliantly.

• Who's evidence, who's professional opinion did you let convince you of this, and who funded the acceleration of mass "education" of these wrongful teachings? Ever seen a German shepherd and chihauha mix? I have. It's a fine example of WHY genetics should not be mixed. Culture and genetics DO have a relation. What happens to a "white" man when he visits the Equator? He is subjected to an unnatural amount of sunlight for his genetice make up. Where as, what happens to a "black" man in Siberia? I've never heard of a "black" man in Siberia, how bout you? I have no respect for you labeling my "little anecdote about dogs" as "stupid". You my friend are caught up in a mess of lies a deciet, sorry to rain on your parade. Oh, and make up your mind, first you say we are derived from monkeys, then you go say our genetics have nothing to do with our culture? Your final comment suits my needs right here. Good luck.

• I am a biologist by profession. I study gene function for a living. Dog breeds are a stupid example because they are so inbred that their inherent diversity is gone. That is why purebred dogs are not as well adapted for survival in a changing world as are mutts. Do you know why the differences in skin color evolved? It is mainly due to vitamin D synthesis, which is driven by sun light. At the equator there is a higher density of energy per square inch than there is at higher latitudes. That is why we white people came into existance, so that we could synthesize vitamin D at higher latitudes. Of course it is far more complex than that. Culture has nothing to do with genetics. The FACT that we evolved from 'monkeys' has nothing to do with culture. Culture is a set of LEARNED values and behaviors. Genetics is molecular, that which is contained in the DNA of the hapliod cells that fuse to form a zygote at conception. There is a vast difference between them.

• Junk: Just so you know, I own mutts. They are all smart. They are great watchdogs and stand anybody up who enters my property, and hold them 'till my wife or I get there. Plus they never bite unless provoked into it or told to do so. They are also smart enough that they do not need a fence like your stupid purebred dog does.

• For some people, it's kind of hard not to. Thankfully I was raised in such a way that I don't worry about racial stuff unless it explicitly comes up, but not that many members of minorities are so lucky. I agree wholeheartedly with your opening statement, though. If you want to make babies with a certain characteristic, then feel free to find a mate that will allow you to do so. That's anyone's right.

• I am white, I have a lot of children. Go for it, if you wish. We are not dying out. Life is dynamic and things change continuously. Now the races will intermix due to the normal attraction that is engendered by genetic variation combined with easy travel across the planet. So have 20, 40 or even 60 kids if you can afford to do it. Raise them well. Remember though that a decent percentage of them will eventually produce offspring with people who have genes from other races. You really should go ahead and get a DNA analysis done on yourself. The probabilities are very high, assuming that your family has been in America for more than a generation or two, that there will be some evidence of your own impurity. Did you know that Hitler had some Jewish ancestry?

• I agree with peaches, and furthermore, real love is color blind. You love people's hearts and minds - not their skins. Mr. Yard Dog, everyone loses when people discount and devalue other people based on externals like skin pigment. We're all humans wearing varying shades of brown anyway. People are people. Anything else is a false issue.

If you ask them the same question, "are you, Mr. African, the same as a white man?", you know he's gonna have the same answer I have: NO! By lying to kids about the Easter Bunny is one thing, but to lie to them about something as REAL as this, is VERY VERY WRONG. It pollutes young vulnerable minds with non-sensical information. But here's what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna give peaches some points, not to kiss her butt, but on the grounds she answered the question honestly, an within the guidelines for my standards of rating.
