Baby Blue

Question

Help answer this question below.

May I ask why if a person tries to give good advice, why he/she gets attacked and feels the need to make themselves unknown? I thought AB was a reasonably free forum, if you don't like it, don't comment/answer/give points.

I'm getting to know a little about you through your answers, baby blue, and a common, and very unpopular theme, runs through your questions, that is always whirring in the background.

People do not like it when you even hint at the notion of personal responsibility. They hate it so much that they would rather shoot the messenger than hear the message. So, you have a choice to make, as we all have. Either give up that message and just enjoy the ample amounts of fluff syphoned through here every day, or stick with it, and accept what will inevitably come your way. +5

I haven't been here long but I do understand what you are saying. Some people seem to take delight in down rating anyone that might disagree with them. It's quite childish actually.

Men with the smallest penises tend to be the biggest Dic**. They do it without revealing themselves because they also have no bal**. Sorry that's a little rough, but its early and the coffee hasn't kicked in yet. I've been swamped at work and haven't been on here much lately, but I agree with you on this one. You have my permission to turn the squirrels loose on people like this.

I guess it is what it is. It is people making the rules, so they will be wrong most of the time. Good luck kiddo. People ruin everything!!

Baby Blue, there are certain people that behave rudely, no matter which site they're on. We can't prevent that, but hopefully by our good behavior we can set an example and make it a decent place for the rest of us to hang out and enjoy each other's company. I don't know why people can't just keep their negativity to themselves instead of lashing out and hurting others. All I can say is they must be really unhappy themselves. Ignore them... +4

I've run into this myself and it wasn't pleasant. A simple difference of opinion and it was on. I was attacked in the form of hateful leading questions. The best route is to ignore those users. There are so many others here who are here to have fun and to be fun. I stop and smell the flowers and avoid those with thorns.

It's online. Online is for three things; porn, getting attention, and attacking people.

    Also, porn.

But, being serious here, well there's a lot of people around, and this kinda stuff is bound to happen. I wish folks wouldn't leave because of that, but maybe they aren't scared away, they just don't see that it's worth it. :/ It's annoying that you try and give a good answer, and then you just get bashed for it.

AB is supposed to be for information, but it's pretty much just a casual place-maybe people who realize this leave when they try to get info about something and realize what it really is. I mean, maybe it's just not what they're looking for. There are plenty of reasons for people to wanna go.

But we have to realize that we all do it from time to time. At the end of your question, you're basically telling people who don't like it to gtfo. I think the problem with online is everyone thinking only their points of view matter, which is the kinda thing that gives online communities their Far West nature to begin with.

    Porn.

No matter whether one are online or off, or where one is in life there may be someone who disagrees and will attack them verbally because of that.

There are a myriad of reasons why they do so, but in summary it is because at that point in their life they choose to do so because of current life experience.

One can only control how one reacts to those attacks and whether or not they proactively stop expressing ideas or keep letting their thoughts be known.

I must say, this question is not for me, but for the people that feel they may want to leave AB for people attacking them, this in defense of my friends. I have developed quite thick skin at this point.
