Jumping Jehosaphat, who made you Elvis? What does that mean?

    Jehosaphat is a biblical king, but i have no idea what the jumpin refers to. Elvis is the "King" of rock'n'roll at least. This is a strange union of seperate idioms. I'd translate it as "what the hell...who put you in charge"

    My guess would be something like - Who made you God or Who made you the boss, but I think you have to be from Tennessee to translate it accurately. Try Icy.

    I would translate that as "who made you king/the boss?". Elvis being The King, and all that. :)

    I have no idea Cotton but the first thing that popped into my brain was "You're not the boss of me"! So maybe that's what it means?
