It would only weigh a couple pounds and take up no more space than about 7 DVD cases stacked on top of each other.

Being practical comes down to how secure your safe is and how many people know you have money in there.

its only about 400 bills. If they are new crisp bills, that is only a couple of inches thick. Used bills are slightly more. It should be no problem to fit this in most home safes, but if anyone were to find out you had that much cash at home, you could have a tough time. Not only is there a theft risk, there is a risk to the safety of you and your family.
