You're reading Does anyone really care if their elected officials (whether congress or president or local officials) are gay? If you do care, then why and what makes you think a straight person would do a better job?

no one can tell if their decisions might be affected or not.
you've just asked a very important question that i myself need to get an answer to it, i mean a real good one.

A good answer is not always the one we're looking for. A person's sexual orientation is not a guarantee of good or evil. There are plenty of examples of evil straight people. Finding instances of evil gay people are harder to find but that just might be because of the ostracized feeling or a person's reluctance to accept they're gay. I personally don't think a person's sexual orientation does affect their judgement in any consistent good or bad way. However, that doesn't mean that religious people, for example, see gay people as evil by using the bible to decide and anyone who fights for gay rights is therefore evil by association.
