  • I have enjoyed my fair share of Marvel Comics, and for the most part I like their heros better, I don't like the Superman type character, that always does good, just because it's the right thing, I like seeing Spiderman struggle with the powers he never asked for. That said, my favorite all time comic, though, is Sandman that was printed by DC Vertigo...
  • I've always been into Marvel but I think DC has some really good stories dealing with Superman and his interconnections with the entire multiverse.
  • Marvel
  • Marvel ! They have
  • Marvel is popular in the movies today, however DC has been around much longer and IMO they have better characters.
  • Marvel but DC has Batman....
  • Marvel has SPIDER-MAN and his awesome Villains! So Marvel wins!
  • DC. I like the Vertigo comics the best =)
  • I have to say for me it would be Marvel.
  • This is a matter of taste and opinion, my friend. I grew up liking DC better than Marvel, though I read both. But as I grew older, I understood the Marvel typically had characters that often had real life problems. So some of those comics soon became some of my favorites. I like both probably about equally now...as much for childhood memories as anything else, I suppose.
  • I personally must say marvel, this is a completely subjective question though, and your answer must only be created through what your experience with them are, i like marvel because the world of interconnected super heroes, making it (in someways) more realistic, plus i freagin LOVE "Civil war"....brilliant
  • Marvel tends to be flashier and more colorful with their art/costumes which (no offense) draws in less intelligent people (i.e. kids and such) and they've been throwing that "OUR CHARACTERS ARE RELATABLE" crap around since a few comic geeks said it back in the day. That colorful costumes and relatble stotylines is what keeps Marvel afloat. My take though is that relatable storylines is LAZY WRITING. I wanna read about SUPER/ALIEN STUFF. Not that Peter Parker was late with his rent or he thinks MJ is stepping out on him. Or how about how Rouge was discriminated against, or Hulk had mental scarring as a child. It's like the writers took their emotional baggage and stuffed it into panels and artwork. And I always felt that Marvel characters were not friendly and standoffish. Green Lantern and Wonder Woman would pose for a picture with kids before Colossus and Ms. Marvel would. And most of their heroes are outcast. DC has heroes we ASPIRE to be. Thats what a SUPERHERO is. Marvel's heroes shouldn't hold that title. They should be called SELFISHHEROES because they do things that work in harmony with their own selfish agenda (save for a small handful of them). Batman is the only deeply scarred individual. But even he has a bright side. NO GUNS?!? What type of criminal vengeance is that for someone whose motivation for fighting crime is your parents were gunned down. So even he has some morals. Superman, Wonder Woman, GL, Flash, Hawkman, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter, etc - are godly in heroism. They are approachable. And the storylines are Sci-Fi and other-worldly (i.e. - they take some imagination to write). Marvel gave us Civil War which is pretty much the Patriot Act with Superheroes. A thirteen year old trying to be deep could write that.
  • Marvel. They have Deadpool.
  • I was usually neutral as a kid but then i just read a bunch of marvels one day and it just seemed that all the emotional feelings were just writers trying to express their own emotions maby which i usually call selfishness and also they never think about continuity because if a frikin marvel charecter dies like wolverine for example whos going to take over him? a little kid with 3 fake claws on his hands wereas dc always will have someone tp talk over them like if batman dies nightwing or batgirl will take over him so i have to say DC comics.
  • Marvel.
