I have a 1987 Firebird with a 2.8 , I am getting no spark , I replaced the Distributor cap , rotor wires plugs and Coil . I took the pick up coil to have it checked and was told it was good . I put it back in my car and it started but stopped in 5minutes

what pick up coil? do you mean the module that is in the distributor? if not I would replace this if you are takling about this little black module under the rotor, it is rare but they can fail off and on, they usually just crap out, but it could have tested good and work for 5 min. and then stopped

This is what I told the guy with the Ford Explorer: It would be a lot cheaper if you'd stop throwing parts at it and took it to some place where they knew what they were doing.
