Format and install TinyXP instead, which can be found at torrents and which has already been modified so that it doesn't have any excessive shit with it.
Latest framework will only be required by pro tools like Sony Vegas. So if you're not doing anything big in your OS then no framework is required. And SP3 eats more space and makes your machine even slower.
What model and make of laptop do you have or is it a netbook?
You will need to upgrade your RAM for defo. Goto crucial.com and run the system checker on the website and it will tell you what your options are to upgrade. But aside from that you really need to be slipstreaming your windows for faster loading and response and less bloat.
Get and run ccleaner and clear some of the junk. get startup.cpl and clear up your startup programs and get nlite and make a slipstreamed version of your windows CD or download tinyxp rev 08 from a bittorrent site and burn it before install and use jellybean to change the cdkey to your own genuine key.
Right off the bat... if you are running any Windows OS more recent than Windows98SE, you NEED more than 256 megs of RAM!
For Millennium you need at least twice that. For XP at less a Gig and Vista NEEDS 2 Gigs.
Oh, it will run... like a car using four big guys pushing instead of the engine (but it will not be pretty).
Get yourself more RAM (1 Gig minimum) and while you're at it, get yourself a larger hard drive. RAM and hard drives to fit your machine will be expensive, so look for used stuff.
Hope this helps.

Is there a way to 100% absolutely delete files from the computer? Not just clearing the recycle bin.
