How about: "who's better" instead of "best"? They are the biggest names in the NHL right now, but there certainly is debate about who the "best" player is. Malkin, Datsyuk, Iginla, come to mind.
Who's better? I like Ovechkin, simply because he's a large enough personality to fire up a whole team, and he's skilled enough to back it up.

Ovechkin is the first player in 55 years to be named to the NHL's first All-Star team in his first three seasons. He has scored 163 goals through his first three years in the league; only Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy scored more.

Im pretty sure most people would agree with me when i say FUCK SID THE KID because the kid gets way to much credit all of his goals are garbage rebounds hes a pussy if he didnt have such a good group of guys on the pens he wouldnt be shit. Ovechkin has backstrom who is ok and semin who is also ok but not great, ovie baby is carrying the team and is rapidly made a name in the NHL he is big he is fast he hits he scores he passes the great 8 is an animal baby. Easily Ovechkin, if you watch sidney during the games he never makes a big play its always malkin or staal. And now sidney scored the game winner in the USA vs. Canada showdown, miller made a horrible play and he knew it, i could have stopped that and im not a goalie by any means. FUCK CROSBY ovie baby anyday
