He's been on thin ice in the public's perception since he was first hired. His guarded tone and fragile look have never endeared him to fans, and they fact that they haven't pulled off a winning season under him hasn't helped. If the Bills can pull off .500 or better season, I'm not sure it will be as easy a decision as the fans seem to think. If they fall below that mark, old Ralph will probably feel he has no choice. Inside the organization, Jauron seems to have a lot of support. Players have been rallying to his side as the fans have been clamoring for his head. Marv Levy, who was also criticized for his cagey demeanor, has been public in his support for Jauron. Dick probably won't be fired mid-season, and some of the heat on him has subsided after last week's win. The season is still young and his fate, in my opinion, rests heavily on the Bills place in the final standings.
