    i'm not 100% certain, but i think he used a paiste ride, possibly a 2002, i know he still has a thing for using paistes in the studio.x

    Considering he joined the band weeks before recording and was not sponsored at the time, I'd imagine he used a mixture of cymbal makes and models. I don't know what he used then, and since he wasn't known and there are no real records of it, I doubt you'll be able to find out. Sorry.

    If you want to mimic that sound, check out the Zildjian Z3 series. They're new, so I guarantee Smith didn't use them, but they sound similar to the cymbals he used.
