Yes. When you cheat you break the trust put in you by your partner, if nothign else that says somethign about your own character. I am not against people having multiple partners, I just feel that all parties have a right to know and agree or not to the situations they are placed in. If my partner is having sex with other people I have a right to know if I need to protect myself from diseases.
Cheating will ALWAYS matter. It's a serious breach of trust, and it takes years and years to regain that trust. Just because it's more commonly known and even (shudder) accepted doesn't blunt its sting even a little. It makes it worse because you never want to think your partner is cheating on you.
Do your relationships last more than a couple of months? Mine last a couple of hours.
