How do you react when you shake hands with someone with really sweaty palms?

    As others have said, discreetly wipe my hand. When I am about to shake hands and am afraid my palms might be damp, I wipe my hand first. It may not follow the rules of politeness, but the alternative is worse to me.

    I just ignore it. It's rather gross, but it's not like they can help it. I'm sure I haven't been part of the most pleasant hand shaking experiences. Whenever someone shakes my hand, it's like they couldn't have caught me at a worse time. I'll have been holding change for some reason for around 5 minutes, or clenching my fists for some time, again, for no reason. When I least expect it, I have to shake hands with an uncomfortable smile like "Oh God, way to make a great first impression..." So normally, I don't show any reaction. I just think "Ew," and slyly wipe my hands on my pants or something while they aren't looking.

    I try to hide my icky feelings and very discretely wipe my hand off as soon as I can. I wouldn't want to embarrass the person for something that they probably have no control over what so ever.

    I assume that they are nervous and try to be polite about it. Then I discreetly wipe my hand on my pants.

    I have sweaty hands, and I very much hate it. To me it is SO rude when somebody has to shake my hand, and then immediately wipe it off. Just please do it when we are not around.
