    its about a guy who is in love with a girl. and he never wants to leave her, but he has to because of war, travel, jail whatver. he misses her and wants to be with her again because he is heartbroken without her and he wants to take back all the bad stuff that he put them through. so basically, it means cherish the time you have with the people you love. :]

    the song is about taking every oppurtunity you have to spend with time with your loved ones and grabbing it, dont be getting into fights over stupid little things like whos going to the shop etc
    seize the day for all that its worth

    It means to grasp the nettle, Take the bull by the horns. Except you can't take the bull by the horns if you're grasping the nettle because your hand isn't big enough. Of course, you could take the bull by one horn, but that would be fairly dangerous because, MOOOOO!
