It would depend on the lifestyle that your looking for. if your an upward mobile professional, then I would recommend the Raleigh Durham area. they have the research triangle, and also Duke University. If your more of the big city type, then Charlotte would be good. if you like the country life, then there are a number of small to medium towns. I live in Fayetteville, and it is pretty nice. Fort Bragg is located next to us, housing cost are not bad, I-95 is located nearby, and it has a very diverse population with all of the people from the military and also retirees here. they have a saying here "nobody that lives in Fayetteville is from Fayetteville (including me, I am from Detroit)
