If you do not like the movie you have seen when you go to the cinema can you ask for your money back?

    I don't think you'd be eligible for a refund if you stayed for the whole movie. If you left during the movie, and depending on the theatre franchise, I would think that it would be possible to get a refund.

    I had a friend that did exactly that - she complained that the cinema should have known the film was rubbish before taking her money.

    I am not sure if that is an option, but that is why I wait til they come to on demand and then you can decide if you want to pay for the movie and it generally is only 4.99 or 5.99 for Hi def and there has only been one movie we ordered that was not that good , what movie did you go see if I may ask? It seems most of the ones out right now are not that good

    good luck with that. You have plenty of chances to watch previews and even read them outside before you get in. That's like going to a restaurant ordering and eating and then saying I want my money back cause it sucked.
