Help answer this question below.

A friend of mine got stabbed in the leg today i stopped the bleeding the best i could. but how much blood can someone lose before they die?? he's in hospital and stable now..

    They can lose quite a bit. If he hit an artery he would have died within minutes but if not hours. If he is stable then they know he will be OK. They won't say stable otherwise.

    Not sure about how much you can lose but stable condition means he will be ok.

    This happened to my son, two years ago, he stabbed his leg, in the upper thigh by his groin, with one of those decorative knives with a jagged blade on it, the blade was about 12 inches long, we thought for awhile he wasnt going to be able to walk, they thought it had hit some nerves, but he got better now he has no problem with it at all. He lost a lot of blood from what I hear, I wasnt home at the time, and his friends cleaned it all up by the time I got home, they said I would have flipped if I saw his blood everywhere.
