    John.

Our vet told us that we should cook our own pet food for our oldest dog, because her stomach is sensitive now and she has a habit of getting pancreatitis(sp?).

We cook beef or chicken mince with rice, I think it must be plain as piss, but apparently its best for her. *slips his dog some ham*

  • Well, we give our cats dry food, moist food and water(cats aren't supposed to drink milk). We feed them fancy feast, we're hoping it doesn't get recalled because that's the only brand they'll eat. Usually, while we eat dinner, we give them a little taste of what we're eating, my grandmother would give them a little bit of beef, a tiny bit of cheese(my cat once ate cheesecake), getting that taste of table food satisfies them greatly.

I love my cat, but I'd never spend time to prepare cooked food for an animal which eats any bug she finds and licks her own rear.

I do not cook and prepare food for them, but after this recent recall on pet foods, I may reconsider.

My cat is 14 years old. she is healthy and happy. she eats canned food, and what she can cadge from us from the table. we also give her leftover pasta and meat sauce and kibble before bed...she is a great little girl...but it's no sense going overboard...as forsaken says...they lick their own rears, for goodness sake.

I cook chicken giblets for my dog and mix them with dry dog biscuits. Where i live this is cheaper than canned food and also he loves it.
