Many artists, writers, and other creative geniuses use drugs(illegal and legal). An altered state of consciousness can lead to all sorts of creative mamby-pamby artsy stuff. If it works for them, goody.
I am a purist. I do drugs JUST TO GET HIGH!
Nothing I like better than a room with no windows and one locked door, several drugs on cards ready to smoke and stare at empty wall for hours...
No, it's illegal.
If one needs drugs to be creative, it's the drugs that are "creative," not the person.
It may not be right for many reasons, health being one of them, but it works for some people. I won't go into detail as to how and why it works for SOME. I will leave those who read to ponder their risk. +5

If all drugs were deregulated and legalized, how long do you think it would take people with addictive personalities to wipe themselves out?

What if Jesus teleported into your bedroom and told you that he can't fight this feeling anymore, and he'd forgotten what he started

I don't agree with drugs, and I"d kick my daughter's ASS if she did them, but man, I love your honesty. +6

I am addicted. (one simple statement can encompass so much misery just compresses it down to one neat little sandwich, huh?)
I also think drugs are bad, and if my kids ever do them I will kick their asses. Unfortunately my children will probably hear about my exploits, even if I stop now...One already knows, came to prison to see me once, eyes shining, snapping his head around bird-like, in awe of the cons, guards, guns, swagger, rules, etc..I already know he will have to learn for himself, he is too stubborn....
It's the lure of easy money...

Aw, that sucks :( Exploits don't count. Donating sperm doesn't automatically make one issue-free. How you handle those issues is where the real lessons lie. Yep, the statement was very sandwich-like :)
