    if you're both not married and you're not facing charges or under investigation or involved in an investigation, i'd walk up to him, smile, nod your head a little to the side, let your eye sparkle, and say, "i like you. let's go out for lunch sometime." i suggest lunch because it is usually non-threatening. see how he react. a uniform ain't no big thing!

    If you are stopped for even the most minor traffic violation don't even think about asking him for a date. It will only dig your grave a bit deeper if you choose to take it to court.

    I'm one of them, and believe me we take notes on such things for a court followup.
