I look down on people who pay with credit or debit, for minor things.
They hold up the line.
They get all idiotic when the machines inevitably go down.
The 80cents or so that the debit company charges the retailer for each transaction, is factored into the price of stuff that I buy.
I would prefer a cash-only line at retailers. It would be shorter, quicker, and could even be cheaper.
dunno, so many people have plastic now it's nothing really to be snobby about anymore if it ever was. I pay by debit for almost everything even in the bars and rarely ever carry any cash apart from parking change in bags in the car, and the emergency 20 pound note I keep in case I lose the plastic. As I don't carry a handbag at all, I usually carry my card and money etc in my I-Pad wallet as that's about the only thing I carry about with me at all, apart from a lipstick and the phone.
When I had credit cards I didn't look down on people who paid cash, now I pay with cash and rarely see anyone pay with a credit card, but when I do...I don't look down on them.
