The Republicans are "jumping up and down" about Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, not sure how to take that. How do you feel about him winning the Nobel Peace Prize?

cotton, from the ab point of view he has brought raging debates ! no peace but lots of anger between some here on ab. when i turn my view to the world stage i don't see it either. :-( P.S. i usually don't jump into political questions because i know i am ignorant of a lot of them but for you well i jumped in and put what i really thought. +5

Shouldnt he have to earn it first, his practices in theory are great on paper, but they havent been implemented yet. -
I have no clue why he earned that, he hasn't done anything since he took office.

I just asked that question a minute ago, being unaware of your question my friend. My first thought was "the Republicans are gonna have a lot more ammunication to shoot him down". They will find a way to denigrate/deprecate/insult and make winning of the prize a travesty, unpatriotic and a conspiracy! Just you wait! Their War rooms are abuzz! I can hardly wait. I personally am thrilled as a patriotic American...I'm proud as punch! :)

He doesn't deserve it. I would commend him for thanking the Nobel Prize community but then admitting he's not worthy of the prize. He's been in office for less than 9 months and has not contributed anything significant towards peace. He's made a couple speeches that helped to lessen the intensity of anti-Americanism worldwide while simultaneously sending more troops into war zones. I personally believe that Peace Prize recipient would do everything in his power to see that peace is achieved and that doesn't happen when we accept war as ok when we imprison those that commit murder without the gov't's permission. . It's a joke and no I'm not a Republican. I used to consider myself Democratic but then I realized that they are just as useless as Republicans.

Ronald Reagan ended the cold war....BUSH freed a entire country and spread democrecy in mideast....these two great president are worthy of a peace prize Obama actually won the ?Nobel Coward Award" for doing nothing when the people of IRAN were protesting for peace/freedom and America's help (sign's written in english) Obama did nothing ,oh days later he reluctantly gave a half-ass little speach..... Obama winning this award by a Looney-Left EURO anti-American group is no shock.....just a JOKE

Ronald Reagan and Bush 1 ended the Cold War and brought down the Soviet Empire. Neither of them won the Nobel Peace Prize. Please tell me what Obama has done to deserve it.
