  • I know wordpad comes with PCs but you have a mac you said. Word should be able to open up your attachments no problem. Just right click them (sorry - command+click) and go to 'open with'. Then choose microsoft word (you may have to go to the list). Those are instructions for a PC so if that doesn't work then simply open Word, go to File>Open, and open your wordpad file. It should recognize it. If that doesn't work, then try opening the file in notepad (or the mac equivalent). If, for some reason, none of those solutions work, then simply ask whoever is sending these files to send them in word format. Or, you can go here: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=wordpad&tag=srch and choose a free word processor that will recognize wordpad files. Hope this helps, Good luck
  • .wpd is not a wordpad file extension. It is a Corel WordPerfect file extension. Being able to open this file with Word depends on the version of WordPerfect it was created with and the version of Word that you are using. If you can not open it with the version of Word you have, you might let the person(s) who are sending you email know that you can not view the attachments.
