No, No,No,No,No!!!!! A twelve year old should be taking advantage of being a kid, doing fun, and sometimes, stupid things. There is no need to rush off into adulthood. I've been one for more than 50 years and believe me, it's no big deal.
You can do so many things and get away with it because people will say he(she), just a kid. Why would you want to throw that a way for a few minutes gratification, risk of disease, or worse, risk of pregnancy?

No. Some 12 year olds haven't even come into critical thinking to the point they can safely cross a street. It's nowhere nearly old enough. Sex is for adults.

At 12 your body might be telling you it's right but believe me it isn't! You need to give your hormones a chance to settle down and let your emotions catch up. You can only lose your virginity once; it's special, and however wonderful you think your boyfriend is when you're 12 I can honestly tell you he is not worth giving away something that precious to!

When a person can become a parent, work a full time job to take care of those kids and put them first place over dating, going out, etc they are mature enough to have sex and sorry 12 is NOT mature enough for sex.

Not if it was my son. I like to take it one step further (or a few really) and this is what I told my niece when she asked if I felt she was old enough.
1. Will your mate accompany you to the doctor to get tested and to get protection?
2. Will your mate be there when you contract a disease that has no cure? Will they pay for your meds?
3. Will your mate make a good parent when that surprise baby is conceived?
4. How long do you plan to date your mate? You might think it's forever.....they might think 1 month!
5. Are you mature enough to talk about what you're doing or do you get embarrassed by the topic of sex?
It sounds like a lot of talk but she listened and waited until she was 17 and was going to college. She married the guy too!!!

No because if a 12 year old had sex then he would regret it and remember how he lost his virginity for such a stupid thing at a young age, just wait until later i mean at-least until your 16 i hit my puberty at age 17 and i lost my virginity at 16. No. My parents had me at 12 so they were actually having sex before then. But in my case and my parent we were the extremely exception because my parents go married, finish school, went to college and gradauted to go on to get their M.A ,M.S and Ph.D'S. They got good jobs and manage to raise all 24 of us keep us on the right track. At one point I wanted kids very young but parent step in and convince me otherwise.Recenlty my 12 years old sisters have been wanting sex. I have been talking to them .But the fact is 12 year old no matter how grown they may look are still little kids in mind and heart. They do not have the mental capacity understand what they are doing. Even though I am religious I teach them and others to wait until you graduate high school to think about sex.

Sure, if you're talking about pigs or baboons or something. If you're talking about people, then heck no! Other animals don't have to deal with all of the emotional and social issues that come with sexuality, and they don't have to focus so much of their youth on learning how to be successful in life, but humans do. Becoming sexually active too soon WILL cause problems and WILL make it more difficult to focus on the other important things that have to be learned at that age. There is plenty of time for it later.
