I'd say marijuana, cigarettes, coke~a~cola, making things out of paddle-pop sticks and then painting them.

I don't think its the drinking and smoking that people crave the most. Its the time spent around other people whom are also sitting around drinking and smoking. Religion, substance abuse, and work are the three big driving forces in American society that tend to bring people together. So what you really want to do is either get religious or else find something to go out and WORK on. Maybe get a second job or go volunteer or enroll in a college class, or maybe go play in a band that practices in the evenings..... ANYTHING that eventually leads to talking and working with other people.

well...basically any other type of non-alchoholic drink would be an alternitive to alchohol...but to get you a buzz...without alchohol you'd have to start doing drugs...which i wouldn't advise

Living happily basically. I know alot of alcoholics and they are very depressed. This is not a smart ass comment I an being very serious. Alcohl is a bad depressant. If you are looking for a buzz, other things are much better. Alcohol will only cause you to be in a down mood. This is the reason most alcoholics are smokers too, nicotine is a stimulant and alcohol is a downer. So when you drink it brings you down and you need a smoke to bring you back up.
