    Dilaudid is hydromorphone. it is 5x stronger than morphine.

    Not sure, but I do know it's very addictive. I wouldn't take it.

    That is a good question but the answer would fall into a very gray area. Dilaudid is 5x stronger than Morphine when comparing them by weight. Dilaudid is basically a synthetic form of Morphine hence its generic name hydromorphone and most Emergency rooms prefer the Dilaudid over Morphine. Dilaudid is also preferred over Morphine due to the fact it has a lot less side effects than Morphine. So basically the answer is yes Dilaudid is stronger than Morphine and Dilaudid is also very unique by the fact that it is both a opiate and legally a narcotic. Hope this information was helpful.
