Help answer this question below.
Dilaudid is hydromorphone. it is 5x stronger than morphine.
Not sure, but I do know it's very addictive. I wouldn't take it.
That is a good question but the answer would fall into a very gray area. Dilaudid is 5x stronger than Morphine when comparing them by weight. Dilaudid is basically a synthetic form of Morphine hence its generic name hydromorphone and most Emergency rooms prefer the Dilaudid over Morphine. Dilaudid is also preferred over Morphine due to the fact it has a lot less side effects than Morphine. So basically the answer is yes Dilaudid is stronger than Morphine and Dilaudid is also very unique by the fact that it is both a opiate and legally a narcotic. Hope this information was helpful. If you have any specific details that weren't in this answer let me know and I will be glad to try and answer any other question.

Do you know the shelf life? I'm having surgery Thursday. The pain med the surgeon is giving me is questionable but I have some Dilaudid 4 mg left over from a surgery a couple years ago.
