Hello, I've had my copper IUD for a week now, Everything is going well, but I can't feel the strings now! I could two days afterwards but checked today and Can't feel them at all. should I be concerned?

    Yes! i assumed (naively) that when mine went in, it looked after itself, never really 'checked up' on it.... my story

    I had coil fitted in aug 07, so over 2 yrs now. absolutley excruciation pain to get it in and thats no exageration!!!
    2 yrs, no problems, regular periods, no pregnancy! until....
    My last 2 periods very abnormal (for me), last period ended 7 days ago, thought it was strange as period only lasted 2 days (normally would last 5), severe cramps. now 7 days on, still getting excruciating lower ab pains, so went to the docs today. Check coil after ruling out infection etc etc, turned out my coil had 'slipped', dropped in to my cervix and had twisted! had to be taken out! not as paintful as putting it in, but as it was where it shouldnt have been, it still hurt like hell getting it out.

    I was lucky enough the strings were left quite long so it could still be found
