  • Keeping your bunnies together for a week or so longer shouldn't hurt. But, eventually, you will have to separate them if she is pregnant and you want a healthy litter. Does will get aggressive towards their mates when they are pregnant and both can get harmed when they fight. If you are worried they will have separation anxiety, placing him in a cage next to her should ease the process. Farther into the pregnancy though, you may want to move him, because she will get excitable and can lose the babies or kill them after they are born because of his scent. Just a few small tips, good luck.
  • You must separate the rabbits. Rabbits shouldn't live together unless they are both spayed or neutered. They are too territorial to live together, even if they are the same sex. They could fight for dominance and get hurt, even lose the litter. PLus he could impregnate hre again and then she would have the stress of carrying two litters at once. That is very bad.
  • I got my rabbits when he was too young to breed and she wasn't. Anyway they grew up together so when they finally did mate they stayed together thru the pregnancy and birth having very healthy babies. it is actually cute to see them sitting together watching the babies and cuddling. It might just be a unique case but i feel it lifted some of the stress on her.i dont know if I helped on not but good luck!
