  • I was going to give an answer. However, based on the way you have phrased the question, I have decided that you really don't want an answer. You just want to blaspheme God. So, I am not going to bother.
  • Bibelievers are sh x tting DRs from their sweaty pants on this revealing question, in stunned silence, eh?
  • Hmmm,... I must admit,...I'm hesitant to answer given the 'wording' you've chosen,... - ,...but I'd hate to leave you with the impression that there IS no explantion,... So,...I'll "give it a go". - Why WAS it necessary for Jesus to be born from a woman? (I think this is an interesting question) - The "Old Testament" or Hebrew Scriptures are peppered with prophecies relating to the coming Messiah. Among these are promises / prophecies regarding his lineage. - The Messiah's ancestry would provide one basis with which to identify him. - (John 7:42) Has not the Scripture said that the Christ is coming from the offspring of David, and from Beth′le‧hem the village where David used to be?” - He would not HAVE a lineage unless he was born. - Interestingly,...Jesus' lineage outlined in Matthew tracks his legal father, Joseph's, family line which included Solomon,...establishing his LEGAL right to the throne of David. - Luke (Chpt 4), traces his lineage through Mary's father,...which establishes that he was a NATURAL offspring of the Davidic Line. - - - In addition, there was no "divine adultery". The bible does not say that God had sex with Mary. He transferred the life of his son into her womb,... no physical contact necessary. - Many couples today use 'in vitro fertilization',... in which a woman's ovum is fertilized outside of the womb, and then IMPLANTED in the uterus. - Although this procedure DOES require some degree of physical contact on the part of the physician,... I don't believe anyone would realistically classify it as adultery.
  • http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7929817#add_answer_box This was a good answer. I like the analogy given. Although, a Mormon telling you it is a good answer, goes against their own beliefs of sexual transfer. Christian faiths do not believe that there was physical/sexual conduct pertaining to Mary's impregnation. The Bible tells us that Mary was impregnated by God's desire for it to happen. Only un-biblical cults attempt to lower God to such a human level as to suggest there was a sexual act committed. By doing this, the cult leader can elevate the perspective converts and succumb to the person pride.
  • GOD did not commit "divine adultery." Adultery is sin, and GOD does not sin to achieve His purposes. To even suggest such a thought is blasphemous.
  • It was not adultery because Virgin Mary was a virgin because she was NOT married to Joseph at the time God got her pregnant. However, I do see your point and agree with your 1st point. People on this website bring up very interesting ?s. I don't see why God would need VM either if men are absolute and God didn't create Eve in order to beget Adam, rather he created Adam and then gave him Eve as a mate. You are right, this makes no sense at all. These ancient texts are BS, huh?
  • God does not "need" to do anything. He (or She) chooses to do what He wills. To the best of my limited knowledge, God has not yet revealed why He chose to be born of the Virgin Mary. With love in Christ.
