I have never heard of this technique, though it sounds similar to the hand wax you dip your hand in to soften your skin. However, this is just to soften skin not remove acne. I would not suggest doing this because the skin on your face sounds to be very sensitive and putting candle wax on there could cause you to actually break out more or result in BURNS. Please do not try this. Try a glycerin soap such as Dial, or go to your dermatologist for more suggestions. I've also seen Proactive work wonders. :0)

Nothing about your question sounds like a good idea. The answer to removing pimples is not to coat your face with a burning liquid.

The heat can bring the toxins that are clogging the pores to the surface, but you can get the exact same effect by covering your face in a steaming hot cloth. Wax tends to coat the things it melts onto, which means there is a residue on your face afterwards. This also causes clogs. +5

No. Pimples begin as pores that are blocked with sebum (body oil). Adding another even less soluble wax on top isn't going to remove them. It may keep them nice and fresh though!
