There's a crack in the cap somewhere. Replace it and the problem will go away.
My 96' Ford Ranger, 4.0 is idling badly. Smells like gas as well. Changed one of the o2 sensors, coolant temp sensor as well.

You're reading Why does spraying inside the distribitor with brake kleen start my B2000 mazda pick up.i replaced all wires ,cap,rotor & coil but still no spark untill i spray inside i have to do this every morning.it will start only after its sprayed 1 time til next day

Spraying brake cleaner inside the cap usually takes care of the moisture but if you know the module is bad then you have to replace it or the whole distributor assembly.
