Never having traveled anywhere Jim and I would most certainly want to hire a "local" to show us the most beautiful sites available in that town/city/country. We're not "tour guide" people so we'd be on our own and it would be helpful to have a guide to show us around so we wouldn't miss anything! :)

Interesting,...well, I might be interested in a mature lady who knew the city and could advise me on the best restaurants, intertainment, etc., and who was knowledgeable and a good conversationalist. (There are many 'escort services' that are very 'above board').
