you are being very polite. my opinion of congress and both the dems and reps is that they lie below whale poop and whale poop lies on the bottom of the ocean. and that is the nicest thing i can say about them.

No, I don't agree, I think they keep us in the dark, charge us for being in the dark, then say the dark is bad for us and charge us more to change to the light, then feed us on non organic recycled bird flu infested mad cow manure.

I agree with it, but I also think that it is because we reward being fed with manure.
For instance, a politician can say, "Sure, I'll improve education, national defense, fix social security, improve national healthcare, and balance the budget, abut I will have to raise taxes." This politician is telling the truth. You cannnot increase spending without increasing income or cutting other programs. Another politician can say, "Sure, I'll improve education, national defense, fix social security, improve national healthcare, balance the budget, and decrease taxes." This politician is lying, or making promises that he/she can never fulfill (you cannot increase spending while decreasing taxes, unless you want to run up a deficit like Bush). Guess which one is rewarded with votes?

I agree with that statement 100 percent. That statement is exactly what's happening with the war in Iraq, the war on terrorism, the phone tapping...Then they cover everything up by telling us phoney lies to make us like the President more and think he's doing a great job, then they come out a year later and tell us the truth and that they made a mistake.
