In Tennessee, there is no entrapment law.

Police hiding makes no difference if a person is violating a traffic law. its going to happen, whether the police are there or not, hiding or not.

Entrapment means that your action was a direct result of the action of the officer. If he pointed a gun at your head and told you to run the red light or be shot then it would be entrapment. By his actions he would have been forcing you to break a law.

In fact an officer can lie to you in order for you to admit guilt. It is best to keep your mouth shut, smile and take your ticket. That is what the courts are for.

In some states and cities, so what they do now is ride around in slick top cars with reflective tape that can only be seen, when you are right up on the vehicle or at night, same thing as hiding to me!!!! Stop speeding and you never fall victim to the police!!!!
