    Yes.

In Tennessee, there is no entrapment law.

Several attorneys, for years, have tried to make a defense for their clients on traffic citations given by the police, supposedly hiding.

To date, no such defense has been approved by the courts.

Police hiding makes no difference if a person is violating a traffic law. its going to happen, whether the police are there or not, hiding or not.

Yes. You've heard of or maybe have even seen a police car barely hidden behind a billboard or parked among the cars in a car lot. That's not entrapment. They did not tell you to speed through that spot. You did it all on your own. So, do one of two things. Obey the speed limit or be more observant.

In Ohio it is. The only thing the officer has to do, if he's working traffic, is be in a marked car. Where he chooses to park is irrelevant.

Knowledge of the presence of law enforcement does not change the fact of your guilt. Many people think that if an officer hides out of sight and catches you doing wrong that it is entrapment, but this is a misinterpretation of the meaning of entrapment. Entrapment means that your action was a direct result of the action of the officer. If he pointed a gun at your head and told you to run the red light or be shot then it would be entrapment. By his actions he would have been forcing you to break a law.

In fact an officer can lie to you in order for you to admit guilt. It is best to keep your mouth shut, smile and take your ticket. That is what the courts are for.

In some states and cities, so what they do now is ride around in slick top cars with reflective tape that can only be seen, when you are right up on the vehicle or at night, same thing as hiding to me!!!! Stop speeding and you never fall victim to the police!!!!
