How about landing a 747 at the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong? One of the most challenging landings ANY flight crew had to accomplish.. here's why.

Nice informative clip.
I see they get a perfect alignment with the runway only in the last half minute before landing.
To the pilots it must be like a bus driver reversing his bus into a parking bay!
Looks tough to us but to trained people part of their daily work.

On the video, an alarm sound is heard at around 2:20. I am assuming that that is the indictor that the landing gear is "lowered & locked." Is that correct?
