It sounds like it is going out for good. We are having the same problem with our PS2. This is the third one now and it is getting very annoying to say the least.
I just got a new ps3. I did a quick format on it, but I need it fully reset (update data and all). How long will it take?

My Playstation disc drive will not work. There is nothing in the disc drive and when I try to put a disc in, It will not grap the disc.

my slim ps3 wont pull disc in,can i link my fat ps3 to it as a external hard drive(slim one fell but has larger hard drive)
