'kay: the Three Billy Goats Gruff could ROCK the world of film noir horror. Especially if you have these mutant goats, only each one is a different kind of mutant, and you can't KNOW WHAT kind until you STEP ON THE BRIDGE.
And maybe there's this displaced, disenfranchised troll out there undermining the Mutant Goats 'cause he was run out of his digs when the spaceship landed.
Meantime, you only THINK it's the sweet and innocent villagers who need their bridge, till you find out they were THIS CLOSE to stringing up that troll in a fiery, pagan sacrificial death ritual, and they have NO IDEA the troll is the ONLY THING that stands between them and certain Goat death.

    Ray Bradbury's short story

    "The October Game"

has unsettled me ever since I read it years ago. In some stylistic hands, it could be a wonderfully frightening film!
