Why do employers mistreat employees using the point system on attendance?

  What about the disabled or handicap workers, If the doctors need to see a handicap worker to evaluate them, is that mistreating the employer. The employer is getting huge tax incentives, and huge profit margin, plus paying the executives huge pay. Not only check this out, what about dead employee policy where Employer takes out death insurance, if you get killed somewhere or on the job, they make the extra cash. Now tell me about that.

• "If the doctors need to see a handicap worker..." Use sick or vacation time. No points should accrue, especially if the plan is made in advance, and the boss knows you will be gone those hours. MOST employers will work with handicapped employees. Yes, they may have to use their sick/vacation time, or they can use a standing FMLA order for those times. (BTW: I'm physically-challenged, now.)

  Employers should NOT make extra money on an employee's death. It might cover the employer's liability (fault) in the death, but they don't make money off employees dying. Any that do could and should be sued. Of course, the employee can by death and dismemberment, and life insurance to cover their own bills, usually at a group discount, with beneficiaries being their family, friends, etc.

  Cite me a link that shows employers get paid for the death of employees - and I'm not talking about stunt men in Hollywood, or the like.

• Okay, lets see how can a company be sued if they do it under the table. You know and I know that it exists. I am going to say this, what if your disability was from birth, you have complications with it, You do not know what it is like being discriminated against. You are a normal beer drinking human being with no conscience towards handicap people. I am handicap, I have proved everyone out in the working world wrong. I have done without to satisfy the employer and paid for it with a knot on my head and lost productivity. You have alot of corporate thinking, Please leave me alone okay. you make me ill

• It's not "corporate thinking". It's some business knowledge and logic. I'm sorry you have had a rough time of it, and that you have an employer that you feel discriminates against you. Again, though, if you feel that you are being discriminated against, I suggest you contact a lawyer, or the ACLU. They have the expertise to tell you what you need to prove your claims.
