If you were convicted for a crime you did not commit and spent 11 months in prison before being cleared of the charge(the real suspect arrested). How much would you think is fair compensation for that time?

I wouldn't charge you more than $25 per day for the room and board. Maybe we could get it down to $20 per. More, I suppose, if you used the phone or had a lot of visitors.

THE question is a good one ,well at first they will consider ,loss of earnings ,wrongful detention and the suffering one incurred .there was a case 2 years ago the person received 2 .4 million dollars ,so it would be an interesting case

If your experience was anything like mine there is no fair compensation.

First of all, I would want to know if the evidence against the real criminal actually PROVES beyond the slightest doubt that I was innocent. If it is not foolproof, and if the charge against me was a serious one, then I would probably prefer to remain in prison for the rest of my life, as it would be the only place I would be accepted. On the outside, nobody would want to hire me and nobody would want me in their neighborhood. What would release do for me? Prison would be the only life I'd have.
